The Jackson Hole Adventure Center books a variety of exciting adventures in the winter. Check out our activities below and let us book a winter experience for you. All of our prices are exactly what the outfitters charge, or less. And most of our winter activities include transportation from and back to your lodging.
Surrounded by world-class skiing and world-class national parks - visitors set aside a day or two to snowmobile into the parks, take a snowcoach tour to Old Faithful, or snowmobile, dog sled, or snowshoe into the backcountry.
Few people have the opportunity to experience spectacular Yellowstone National Park in winter, or feel the silence and crisp air of Grand Teton National Park on a brilliant winter morning. Be one of these lucky people.

Snowmobiling
December - March
From December through March in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, deep snow and endless pristine back country are our wintertime hallmarks. Snow machines are best for exploring the area, and the National parks and wilderness surrounding Jackson Hole have some of the finest snowmobiling in the country. Please see the activity details below for all the different trip options.

The fleet of 2011 4-stroke snowmobiles are environmentally friendly, allowing for reduced pollution, emissions, and noise; they allow an increase in reliability, so you are not bothered by breakdowns and issues on the trail; and they are lightweight, making them easy to operate, even for the inexperienced rider.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: winter layers (synthetic if possible), sunscreen, camera, driver's license.

Grand Teton N. P. Winter Wildlife Van Tour- Half Day
Get out and enjoy Grand Teton National Park with a knowledgeable guide and in the comfort of a luxury van. The guide provides binoculars, a spotting scope, and a great eye for wildlife. Have your camera ready, lately the moose, elk, bison, and eagles have been making regular appearances!

Sit back and enjoy the scenery of Yellowstone National Park in comfort while being chauffeured by an experienced, knowledgeable guide. This tour will take you to the Old Faithful Geyser making several stops along the way for wildlife viewing and photography.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation through Yellowstone National Park will be in a late model luxury van.
PICKUP / MEETING POINTS: Hotel pickup and drop off is included for each departure for most hotels in the Jackson Hole area. Pickup time will be between 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM.
ACTIVITY DETAILS: Hotel pickup for the Snowcoach Tour is early. Breakfast will be at a local restaurant in the town of Jackson. Following breakfast, you'll travel north 60 miles to the South Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. There, all guests will transfer to the snowcoach for a first class ride into the Old Faithful area.
Once inside Yellowstone National Park, you'll travel the 45 miles of groomed trail to Old Faithful, making several stops along the way, with opportunities to get out and walk around. Points of interest may include Moose Falls, Lewis Canyon, Lewis Falls, and West Thumb Geyser Basin.
There will be a stop at Old Faithful to watch the eruption and have lunch.

No other method of snow travel is quite like dogsledding. The only sounds are the shushing of the runners, perhaps the panting of the dogs and the wind in your face. This trip to the past is one you will never forget.

ACTIVITY DETAILS: Each trip is a scenic, warm ride in a modern sled. The musher-guides are always alert, willing and eager to point out wildlife: deer, elk, moose, bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and points of interest. You can even relive the old days of mushing by running a team yourself. Choose a half day excursion to- TOGWOTEE OR GRANITE HOT SPRINGS- or a full day excursion to Granite Hot Spring.
All trips include hot soups and beverages. Full day trips will also have a hearty lunch served midday and western dinner served after a soak in Granite Hot Springs.

ACTIVITY DETAILS: Take a stunning sleigh ride through the winter wonderland along the Snake River. Pass through a cottonwood forest and keep an eye out for winter wildlife. Then arrive at Tipi Camp for refreshments or a meal in warm, fire lit authentic tipis. Enjoy views of the Grand Tetons while sipping warm drinks by the outside fire along the Snake River.

Staying in the Village or skiing at the resort? Why not take a break in the middle of the day to fly from the top of the Gondola down to the Village. Soar high above Teton Village and experience the breathtaking beauty of Jackson Hole, the Teton Range and the Snake River Range from the air. Snowshoe & Cross Country Ski Tours

Snowshoe or cross country ski with a local naturalist. Enjoy the stillness of the winter backcountry and stunning views of the Tetons. Snowshoes are provided. Please provide your own cross country gear or rent them at Skinny Ski's in downtown Jackson.

Teton Raptor Center
Get up close and personal with the majestic birds of prey of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Meet the resident raptors, including a Golden Eagle and a Great Horned Owl, and tour the Teton Raptor Center's rehabilitation clinic and Raptor Barn. Learn all about these these beautiful birds, and be perched and ready to spot bald eagles on your travels through Jackson Hole.

The Teton Raptor Center helps birds of prey through education, conservation and rehabilitation.
Teton Raptor Center is a non-profit organization of conservation biologists, veterinarians, wildlife rehabilitators and volunteers, working together to help birds of prey and promote environmental health through veterinary care and rehabilitation, educational programs and conservation research. We are located at the historic Hardeman Ranch, a Jackson Hole Land Trust protected property in Wilson, Wyoming.
