HORSEBACK RIDES BASED AT THE RANCH Located in the Gros Ventre Wilderness and Bridger Teton National Forest areas, our horseback tours offer an exclusive opportunity for customized trips into some of the most pristine country in the area. Trips often provide exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities, and each trip is guided by an experienced horseman. Trips are limited in size to small groups to guarantee a true wilderness experience. We cater to all riding levels, and trips are grouped according to rider ability. Tours include lunch on the trail and transportation from your lodging. Our remote location allows for a truly unique experience; transportation is a 1 to 1 ½ hour van ride each way, part of which is on a dirt road. No rides on Sundays.

After your ride, treat yourself to the finest dining in Jackson Hole. Fork, knife and paddle... Enjoy the upper whitewater section, then pause for a delicious BBQ dinner, then hit the water again! Perched on the river's edge, our dinner site overlooks the biggest rapids in the canyon. Dinner includes a 9oz. sirloin steak or trout, potato salad, pasta salad, garlic bread, corn on the cob, dessert and hot/cold beverages. You can only get there by raft, so let us show you the finest dining in Jackson Hole.

Mad River's Guide School on the Snake River

Work as a Guide during the Summer of 2010

Mad River offers the only Jackson-based Guide School in Jackson Hole. If you don't have commercial experience, but would like to work as a guide, check out our guide school. We do all our hiring of new guides without commercial experience out of Guide School.

If you just want to brush up on your rafting skills, or even if you have your own boat but want to learn more about river running, come to guide school and broaden your knowledge of the river.
