The Classic Jackson Hole Adventure
For the adventurer who wants it all...the best of Jackson Hole. Start your trip with a full day scenic safari in Yellowstone, taking in all that can be experienced in Yellowstone in a day. Next explore the Jackson Hole backcountry the western way, by horseback. Take an hour when you are near Jackson to go over to the Teton Raptor Center to get up close and learn about the birds of prey of the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. And finally, our most inclusive adventure package finishes with a wild ride down the Snake River with a stop riverside for a delicious bbq dinner.

Day 1 YNP Scenic Safari
Kick off your adventure with a full day Wildlife Tour in the world's first, and most famous National Park, Yellowstone. See the park's animal life and explore the geyser basins with your guides while enjoying the comfort of our luxury coaches. Several tours each covering a different route in Yellowstone are available, we suggest the lower loop tour if you haven't visited Yellowstone often.
Departure: 7:30am. Length: 12 hours
Day 2 Horseback Ride in JH Backcountry
Head out for a half day horseback ride up through the forest onto a mountainside. Enjoy exploring the wild and scenic backcountry on horseback and take in the excellent views of Jackson Hole and the surrounding peaks.
Departures: Throughout the day. Length: 4 hours
Horseback riding and whitewater rafting can be combined for a full day of fun!
Day 3 SR Whitewater with Dinner
Finish your adventures with the exciting 8 mile whitewater trip through the class III rapids deep in the Grand Canyon of the Snake River. Pause for a delicious steak or trout dinner cooked and served riverside by the guides in view of the famous Big Kahuna and Lunch Counter rapids.

At Your Convenience: Teton Raptor Center
Get up close and personal with the majestic birds of prey of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Meet the resident raptors, including a Golden Eagle and a Great Horned Owl, and tour the Teton Raptor Center's rehabilitation clinic and Raptor Barn. Learn all about these these beautiful birds, and be perched and ready to spot bald eagles on your travels through Jackson Hole.

COMPANY INFORMATION: Mad River Boat Trips is a whitewater and scenic river outfitter based in the town of Jackson. Each of Mad River's guides are highly trained in river safety and professionalism. The guides are passionate about the river and they look forward to sharing that passion with you. Scenic Safaris is a year 'round operation, running snowmobile tours into Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding National Forest during the winter and taking guests on wildlife safaris during the summer. Scenic Safaris' guides are extremely knowledgeable of the area and have an eye for spotting wildlife. While you may see the National Park on your own, a guided tour with a Scenic Safaris guide will help you truly experience it.
MEETING LOCATION: Wildlife Tour- hotel pickup. Horseback riding- corral south of town. Whitewater rafting with dinner- boathouse on southwest side of Jackson.

Day 1 GTNP Scenic Safari
Start your adventure off with a half day wildlife tour through beautiful Grand Teton National Park with Scenic Safaris. Spot wildlife up close with binoculars and a spotting scope while learning about them from a certified naturalist guide. The luxury vans seat 11 people maximum creating a semi private tour feeling.

Day 2 Horseback Ride in JH Backcountry

Day 3 SR Scenic and Whitewater 21 mile Combo
Finish off your adventure right with Mad River's scenic float and whitewater combination trip. Float through bald eagle habitat along the Snake River . While you float, enjoy lunch from our local Creekside Deli. Then, head down the Snake River Canyon for an 8 mile whitewater run in class III rapids. Eddy out halfway down for a riverside BBQ dinner with all the fixins. For a well rounded adventure in the shadow of the Tetons, start here.

That evening, stop by Snake River Whitewater Photo and Video to view your rafting photos. They are located next to Ripley's Believe It or Not in downtown Jackson Hole.

Day 1 SR Scenic and Whitewater combo
This trip covers two seperate sections of the Snake River. Start with a 13 mile scenic float on the upper Snake River. Braided river channels may take you by beaver dams or within sight of a bald eagle perched over the river. Enjoy a deli box lunch before heading down the Grand Canyon of the Snake River for a thrilling afternoon whitewater adventure.
Departure: 7:30am. Return: 3:30pm
That evening, head in to town to view your whitewater photos at Snake River Photo and Video, located next to Ripley's Believe It or Not.
Day 2 YNP Scenic Safari
On day two, board one of Scenic Safaris' luxury coaches and take a wildlife safari through Yellowstone National Park. No other one day safari lets you see this much of Yellowstone Park. Stay on the lookout for some of Yellowstone's spectacular big game, such as grizzly bear, moose or bison. The lucky few may catch a wolf kill in action.

This adventure package is also ideal for supplementary activities if you decide that you have more time to spend in Jackson Hole.
